Happy 50th Birthday. To me!

I think that 40 marked the beginning of the senior part of my life.  So my being 50 today means I’m 10 years into my senior years. I’m happy and lucky to be 50.  Life is good.  I want to continue focusing on my health.  I want to be better about my relationships, because I thought I could be a loner for so much of my life, but quality relationships make life more complicated and sweeter at the same time.  Also, to appreciate the gray areas.  So many things don’t have to be black or white.  Forgiving myself, loving myself, and in turn, it can help me love others. Thank God for another year.

Toxic Avenger Unrated (2025)-Quick Review-Does it have that Troma magic?

Jason and I review the unrated 2025 remake of  The Toxic Avenger , praising it as a fun, gory, and heartfelt homage to the original Troma films. Jason highlights the cast—including Elijah Wood, Peter Dinklage, and Kevin Bacon—and gives it an 8.2, noting its gore, comedy, and spirit. I agree, giving it an 8, and saying it captures the over-the-top acting, humor, and gross-out style of classic ’80s Troma movies like  Class of Nuke ’Em High . We both enjoyed the outrageous kills, audience laughter, and overall fun vibe, recommending it to fans of the genre. YouTube version A longer audio review is coming soon on the podcast.

Silent J, Gronk, Alien, Swamp Thing-Action Figure Photography

Here’s some recent action figure photography I’ve been working on. I used the Extreme Sets Sewers 2.0 diorama as the backdrop for all the photos, although I don’t think this set is available anymore. In the first image, Gronk and Swamp Thing are teaming up and walking with purpose. Gronk is a WWE Elite Series action figure released in December 2020, based on his appearance at WrestleMania 36. Swamp Thing, on the other hand, is a Megafig from McFarlane Toys released in July 2023. In the next photo, a Xenomorph is surprising Silent Bob in the sewers—he probably doesn’t have long to live! Silent Bob is a Diamond Select figure released in 2014; however, I believe it’s a reprint, if that exists. It's based on his appearance in the 'Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back' movie. The Alien figure is the Neca Xenomorph, released in 2020 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the 1979 film. Finally, we have the Riddler plotting something in a hidden underground base. This figure is from McFar...

The Ballerina Spoiler Review-$132 Million Later

Check out this episode! On this episode, Jason G and I review 'Ballerina', a spinoff set in the 'John Wick' universe between chapters three and four. We praise the film’s action, calling it some of the best in the series, with standout scenes, such as a flamethrower sequence. I mention struggling to fully buy Ana de Armas as an action star, while Jason suggests the director’s style may emphasize looks over grit. We also note the inclusion of Lance Reddick’s character, filmed before his passing, and appreciate how the action feels intense but more grounded compared to other over-the-top set pieces in this universe. We give the movie an overall rating of 7 to 7.8 out of 10. The conversation concludes with thoughts on the box office and franchise. Despite a \$90 million budget, the film made about \$132 million worldwide, which may not cover total costs. However, it is performing well on VOD platforms. Lionsgate has not confirmed a 'Ballerina' sequel, but 'Joh...

Weapons Movie Review-Was it better than Barbarian?

YouTube Video Weapons   by Zach Cregger was a solid horror film, especially for fans of face mutilation and suspense. While the twist didn’t fully land for me, the movie picked up after a slow start and became quite engaging. I really enjoyed the eerie electronic score during tense moments and thought the cast was strong—The characters and actors playing Gladys and Alex were standout performances. The multi-perspective storytelling around 17 missing kids added depth, and I liked how it wrapped up. Not as strong as   Barbarian , but still a very good film—I'd give it a 7.5 out of 10. Please post your thoughts, comments, down below. Find more of my movie reviews here.

Fantastic Four: First Steps-Out of the Theater Quick Review

Jason and I give our quick review of  Fantastic Four: First Steps.  We both gave it a  rating of 7.9/10 . We praise the movie’s stunning production design, visuals (especially Galactus and The Thing), and soundtrack. Pedro Pascal stood out as Reed Richards, and the Silver Surfer was a highlight. While the film lacked some character depth and suspense, we still considered it the best Marvel movie of the year so far — surpassing  Brave New World  and  Thunderbolts. There were  two post-credit scenes: one worthwhile, one forgettable. Here's our out of the theater review A longer podcast spoiler review is coming soon.

Artwork-Actors Storming off Set

In the past, I would often draw an action scene.  My art inspiration comes from reading and enjoying comics.  Here, I just wanted to draw something a little different.  This drawing takes place on a movie set, and it seems that two actors are upset, with one storming off.  See the time-lapse video below from concept sketch to final product.  Please share your thoughts and comments below.

The Complete Killer Comic Review

On this episode I discuss french comic (translated to english), The Killer.  Awarded IGN's 2007 indy comic of the year, this story follows the life and times of an assassin. A.I. Summary I read  The Killer  comic twice to fully grasp its story — it's a deep, violent, and philosophical ride that follows a contract killer through his long, complex career. The comic, originally French and available as  The Complete Killer  on Comixology, explores his internal worldview, his rise to wealth, and his struggle to escape the assassin life. He trains others, partners in business, and even starts a family, but never truly breaks free. I watched the Netflix adaptation (starring Michael Fassbender, directed by David Fincher) after reading the comic. While the film was solid, it only covers a small sliver of the full comic’s story and takes some creative liberties. The introspective voiceover from the comic is reflected in the film, but the comic is much richer overall. I st...

New Video Game Streams. Spider Man: Miles Morales, Gorogoa, The Callisto Protocol, Wolfenstein 2

New game streams!  Continuing my play-through on most and starting a new one.   Spider-Man: Miles Morales.  I've reached the "Thicker Than Blood' section of the story—however, The Prowler wrecks me. Gorogoa is a relaxing puzzle game that I recently finished during my commute from work. I want to make it my second game I finish on stream. I initially picked the game because it was short. Short games are the best.   I'm continuing my adventure in The Callisto Protocol as I wade through the 'Habitat' level. Blasting and beating down these zombie-like creatures. Finally, I'm still playing my second commute game, Wolfenstein 2. Running and gunning through the 'New Orleans' level. Have you played any of these games?  Please post your thoughts and comments below.

New Artwork! Cyclops in a meeting room-Time Lapsed video.

I started this drawing earlier this year (2025) while I was out hurt from work. My local library is where it began.  The brown furniture at the library inspired the design of the office setting. Daydreaming, the buildings in the foreground came to be, and I thought about placing the X-Men's Cerebro machine in the background. Scott Summers, making an authoritative speech, came into focus.  As always, I used the Procreate app, an Apple Pencil, and an iPad mini.   Enjoy! Please share your thoughts and comments below. Sinners Spoilers Review-Was the movie boring in the beginning?

Jason G and I saw Sinners on April 17, 2025.  We both enjoyed the movie.  Initially, I felt it was boring and didn’t care about the characters' backstory.  I even dozed off a few times.  Jason thought it was a little slow to start, but it improved as the movie progressed.  We go into further detail in our spoiler review.  Check out the audio and video we recorded right after seeing the film, as usual. Chocolate Chip Raisin Cookies Made from Beans-Vegan, No Oil

YouTube Video I got hurt late last year and was out of work for 3 months.  During this period, I got to dig into interests I didn’t have time for due to work and my social life.  Baking is one of those interests, and I wanted a type of cookie that didn’t raise my blood sugar and had fiber/protein to combat the sugar spike. These cookies are vegan and have no oil.  They can be made gluten-free, but they weren’t in this recipe.  However, as I did in this video, other healthy additions such as psyllium husk, wheat germ, and flaxseed meal can be added.  Why no oil?  Why vegan? I did so to avoid including any cholesterol or excess fat in the cookies. The measurements for the ingredients in the video are not set in stone and can be used as a guide. Will you try this recipe? Any thoughts, comments, or do so below.

Playing Robocop: Rogue City. The beginning section of the 'Isolated Incident' level.

In this latest gameplay video, I'm playing Robocop: Rogue City. I’m a big fan of Robocop.  I’ve seen all the movies, a little bit of the TV show.  The Frank Miller comics were great.  So was his Robocop VS. Terminator series.  I own a Robocop action figure.  The cabinet arcade game back in the day was excellent—the NES game not too much. To say I was interested in playing this game is an understatement.  It went on sale in the Xbox store late last year, and I picked it up.   I’m on the second level in this video called ‘Isolated Incident.’  I’m on the search for a drug dealer named ‘Soot’, which leads me to an arcade that is hiding some criminal activity. Recent Dance Videos I've posted on Social Media

I will be 50 this year, and I'm trying to record more dance videos. I've been dancing for years and never gave it much thought.  I wish I had prioritized it in the past, as I won't always be able to move like this. This video was on my building's rooftop in April(2025).  With the way the camera is positioned, one friend told me it looked like I was 'dancing on the clouds.' This second video was at a recent party, the first of a monthly party called 'It's a Reggae Party.'  Also in April. Dancing next to Eli Reed, with whom I've made dance videos. Here's the oldest of the videos in this post(September 2024).  I shot this on the balcony of my hotel room in Punta Cana, DR.  It was a big balcony with enough space to shoot this video. This was in a park in the town next to mine.  I've shot videos here before.  This was on a nice weather day in November(2024).

The Amateur Spoiler Movie Review

podcast audio YouTube Video I saw this movie on Thursday, April 10, 2025. There are spoilers in this review. I’ve heard on the internet how Rami Malek almost seems alien-like in his appearance. This, coupled with his performance in the Mr. Robot show, makes him perfect for The Amateur. He plays CIA analyst Charles Heller. At the beginning of the film, his wife is on a business trip in London; terrorist activity takes place during her visit, and she is murdered. Heller then uses his intelligence to solve his wife's murder and get revenge while on the run from his employer. This was really well done, as I felt tense several times while watching The Amateur. In the film, Rami Malek plays a character who aspires to be a field agent. This is hinted at in the first act while talking to Jon Bernthal, who plays this dude-bro agent in several ongoing operations in the field. After the murder of his wife, his CIA superiors suggest Heller go home and mourn. But he feels the government entity ...

eBay Sales for Dec. 2024-Dec 2025 & Overall Sales figures for 2024

YouTube version December and January are strong sales months on eBay, as they are the holiday season.  Before getting into my items sold for these two months, I wanted to discuss my sourcing methods.  I sell my stuff—items I've owned and no longer use. I work in a hotel and receive lost and found items guests leave behind. If the guest hasn't claimed the item within 90 days, the lost and found items are returned to the employee who found the item. Gifts and items guests give me(I didn't mention this in the video). My brother works in a college and also receives lost and found items. Once he's accumulated a box's worth of items, he sends them to me. I give him $40 for each box. My sourcing costs are low. The storage area where I store my eBay items costs $146 per month. My packing supplies are minimal, but I spend $140 per year or less. These are the items I sold in my eBay store for December 2024. The first item I sold was on December 7.  These purple, slim fit, sto...
