Playing 'Ridiculous Fishing EX' on Apple Arcade

There was a period in 2011-2013 when I was heavily mobile gaming(playing games on my phone). I spent lots of time with games: Infinity Blade, Mega Mall Stories, Hotel Dash, Diner Dash, Super Mega Worm, Battleheart, Zombie Escape, Harbor Master, and Smash Cops.

Around 2014, I fell out of playing IOS games because I would listen to video game podcasters/influencers say things like mobile gaming isn't real gaming. I considered myself a serious gamer, so I stopped.

I listen to/watch/follow several video game content creators. Moreso for industry news. One of those outlets I listen to is the AEW Games podcast. I started listening to this podcast last year, 2024. Their enthusiasm for gaming gets me excited to play games. Wrestlers/hosts Evil Uno and Adam Cole also discuss all the mobile gaming they do, which inspired me to dig back into IOS gaming.

On Touch Arcade.com's recommendation, I remember buying and playing Ridiculous Fishing back in 2013 and loving it.

I was pleased that the Apple Arcade subscription includes the newer version of the game Ridiculous Fishing EX today. This is the game I'm playing in this stream.

Apple Arcade has many games I want to try, and this will not be the last I stream.

Fantastic Four: First Steps-Out of the Theater Quick Review

Jason and I give our quick review of  Fantastic Four: First Steps.  We both gave it a  rating of 7.9/10 . We praise the movie’s stunning production design, visuals (especially Galactus and The Thing), and soundtrack. Pedro Pascal stood out as Reed Richards, and the Silver Surfer was a highlight. While the film lacked some character depth and suspense, we still considered it the best Marvel movie of the year so far — surpassing  Brave New World  and  Thunderbolts. There were  two post-credit scenes: one worthwhile, one forgettable. Here's our out of the theater review A longer podcast spoiler review is coming soon.

Weapons Movie Review-Was it better than Barbarian?

YouTube Video Weapons   by Zach Cregger was a solid horror film, especially for fans of face mutilation and suspense. While the twist didn’t fully land for me, the movie picked up after a slow start and became quite engaging. I really enjoyed the eerie electronic score during tense moments and thought the cast was strong—The characters and actors playing Gladys and Alex were standout performances. The multi-perspective storytelling around 17 missing kids added depth, and I liked how it wrapped up. Not as strong as   Barbarian , but still a very good film—I'd give it a 7.5 out of 10.
