New Video Game Streams. Spider Man: Miles Morales, Gorogoa, The Callisto Protocol, Wolfenstein 2

New game streams!  Continuing my play-through on most and starting a new one.   Spider-Man: Miles Morales.  I've reached the "Thicker Than Blood' section of the story—however, The Prowler wrecks me. Gorogoa is a relaxing puzzle game that I recently finished during my commute from work. I want to make it my second game I finish on stream. I initially picked the game because it was short. Short games are the best.   I'm continuing my adventure in The Callisto Protocol as I wade through the 'Habitat' level. Blasting and beating down these zombie-like creatures. Finally, I'm still playing my second commute game, Wolfenstein 2. Running and gunning through the 'New Orleans' level. Have you played any of these games?  Please post your thoughts and comments below.

Playing Robocop: Rogue City. The beginning section of the 'Isolated Incident' level.

In this latest gameplay video, I'm playing Robocop: Rogue City. I’m a big fan of Robocop.  I’ve seen all the movies, a little bit of the TV show.  The Frank Miller comics were great.  So was his Robocop VS. Terminator series.  I own a Robocop action figure.  The cabinet arcade game back in the day was excellent—the NES game not too much. To say I was interested in playing this game is an understatement.  It went on sale in the Xbox store late last year, and I picked it up.   I’m on the second level in this video called ‘Isolated Incident.’  I’m on the search for a drug dealer named ‘Soot’, which leads me to an arcade that is hiding some criminal activity. Recent game streams. UnMetal, Promenade, Balatro, & more Wolfenstein 2.

These are some of my recent game streams on Twitch.  You can also watch them on YouTube. Within the last few months,  I’ve  discovered these YouTube channels discussing games on sale for specific platforms. My criteria (for my own purchases)is that the games should have great reviews and be under $10.  Promenade fit that bill.  I played some of the intro levels in this recent video and found it enjoyable.  Promenade is more of a platformer.  It is the kind of game many of us played as kids(and adults), having roots in games like Super Mario Brothers.   It’s  colorful and not too stressful.   I’m  still learning the mechanics.  Find out what Promenade is about here. I’m  continuing my playthrough of Wolfenstein 2 on the Steam Deck and  I'm  determined to make it the first game I complete on the handheld.  My eyes are not what they used to be, and playing this game on the big screen is better th...

Playing 'Warped Kart Racers' on Apple Arcade...Starring characters from Family Guy.

I've been playing some violent games lately.  Wolfenstein 2 and The Callisto Protocol, you can find some of those recent streams here and here .  I decided to play something lighter and chose Warped Kart Racers on Apple Arcade. The Playstation 5 Dual Sense controller connected easily to my Mac Mini, and I was literally 'off to the races.'  The Xbox controller is preferred but won't connect via Bluetooth if the AA batteries have a mid-low charge. Never having played Warped Kart Racers, I had a fun time. For the next Apple Arcade game I stream, I have to figure out how to fit the play screen to fit OBS, as the screen is oversized during this session.  Learning OBS is very much a work in progress. Here's my Warped Kart Racers gameplay. YouTube version I've been streaming more often on Twitch.  My username is Paul_v_perez, check me out. Thanks for watching!

Playing more of 'The Callisto Protocol' and talking about Captain America Brave New World. Also my thoughts on last night's WWE NXT Vengeance Day and AEW Grand Slam Australia Events.

On my latest Twitch stream ( Twitch user name is Paul_v_perez ) I play 'The Callisto Protocol' again(find out more about that game here ).   Here's a link to my first livestream of this game. I also give a small snippet of my incoming spoiler review of Captain America: Brave New World.  Finally I discuss WWE NXT's Vengeance Day and AEW Grand Slam Australia.  Two pro wrestling events which took place Saturday, February 15th. Playing 'Ridiculous Fishing EX' on Apple Arcade

There was a period in 2011-2013 when I was heavily mobile gaming(playing games on my phone). I spent lots of time with games: Infinity Blade, Mega Mall Stories, Hotel Dash, Diner Dash, Super Mega Worm, Battleheart, Zombie Escape, Harbor Master, and Smash Cops. Around 2014, I fell out of playing IOS games because I would listen to video game podcasters/influencers say things like mobile gaming isn't real gaming. I considered myself a serious gamer, so I stopped. I listen to/watch/follow several video game content creators. Moreso for industry news. One of those outlets I listen to is the AEW Games podcast. I started listening to this podcast last year, 2024. Their enthusiasm for gaming gets me excited to play games. Wrestlers/hosts Evil Uno and Adam Cole also discuss all the mobile gaming they do, which inspired me to dig back into IOS gaming. On Touch Arcade.com's recommendation, I remember buying and playing Ridiculous Fishing back in 2013 and loving it.   I was pleased tha...

Streaming through OBS for the first time! Playing Wolfenstein 2 on the SteamDeck**Updated**

I enjoyed playing Wolfenstein The New Order and Wolfenstein The Old Blood, so playing this is a no-brainer.  Steaming is something I want to do more of, but using an Elgato Stream Deck, and OBS software, seemed super difficult to me.   I followed YouTuber Midnight Man's instructions and viola!  I didn't get everything working right, but for a first time, it came out well.  Using a Valve SteamDeck no less.   Check out the Youtube video below. More to come! 1st Gameplay Session Gameplay from December 2024..the volume was very low on this one..sorry. Gameplay from February 2025

Spider Man Miles Morales on the Playstation 5-Gameplay from my Livestreams.

I started playing this game in 2024.  I purposely picked Spider Man Miles Morales because it looked cool and was a short game to complete(under 10 hours).  I've been slowly going through it and I think I'm almost done.  These here are a few of my livestreams of gameplay.  As I stream the game, I will update this post. 1st stream June 2024 2nd stream October 2024 3rd stream February 2024 4th stream also February 2024

My 2024 Gaming Year In Review.

YouTube version Nintendo, Xbox, Playstation, and Valve publish annual individual gamer statistics, similar to Spotify's year-end 'Wrapped' playlist. It presents which games are played and for how long—also activity by month. These are my numbers. On Xbox, I played 35 hours and 40 games, 20 of those hours mainly on the cloud(using the Logitech G-Cloud). I earned 38 achievements and increased my Gamerscore by over 700 points. My most played games were Rollerdrome, Katana Zero, and The Callisto Protocol.   Rollerdrome gave me Tony Hawk Pro Skater vibes from back in the day. I remember spending hours on that game. Except in Rollerdrome, opponents are trying to end you and you in return. My busiest month was June. Katana Zero.  All screenshots in this article I've taken during gameplay. Moving on to the Playstation, I played 33 games for 31 hours—earning 36 trophies, mostly Bronze. March was my busiest month.  My top three games were Spider-Man Miles Morales, Final Fantasy 7...

Playing 'The Wild at Heart.' A Section of the Game, and the Ending.

The Wild at Heart was the one game I completed start to finish in 2024.  It's also the first game I've ever completed while streaming live.   Click here you to find out more about the game and the story.   A charming, indie game which got its hooks in me and I wanted to see it to the end.  It was my favorite game of 2024. In this post I play a section of the title then the final act  Enjoy! A section of the game... The final act of the game. Thoughts, comments please do so below.

Playing Katana Zero (on the Xbox Series S)and failing plenty!

I discovered Katana Zero when I was subscribed to Game Pass.  It's a fun game with 80s B-movie action appeal.   It's a one-hit kill gameplay element where you have to start the specific level again when your character gets killed—forcing the player to learn and use the play mechanics to their advantage.  Katana Zero is my current Xbox game on my five-game cycle between five consoles.  Enjoy the video. Have you played Katana Zero?  Please comment below. YouTube Version

Playing 'Still Wakes the Deep'-Cool Horror Game!

'Still Wakes the Deep' is a game that intrigues me.  It plays like horror movies which I've watched before.   The story begins on a regular workday on an oil rig out in the ocean.  The rig hits something while drilling, causing chaos, and an unknown creature comes on board, slowly killing the crew.   You and the remaining crewmates work to find a way off the rig while trying to survive the rig falling apart and the strange organism coming on board.  This is the gist of what takes place in the game, but there are other character sub-stories running along the main narrative. In this video, I play a small portion of the game where I run into a crewmate who's been assimilated by the creature, and I try to escape without being noticed.  Check out the Youtube video below and enjoy!

Playing Final Fantasy 7 Remake and discussing the Game Pass Price Hike

Lately I've been video game streaming and talking about things that have been on my mind.  Here I discuss the recent Xbox Game Pass price hikes which are beginning(for current members) in September.  I also talk about subscription churn and what other games I'd like to see get this FF7 Remake treatment. Thoughts, comments, do so below. YouTube video

Playing 'The Quarry' and discussing gaming while growing older.

There was video from a YouTuber titled 'Gaming in Your 40s' which I found interesting and had some thoughts on as I'm still gaming and getting close to my 50s.   That's what I talk about here. The video from the YouTuber you can find here. Here's my video below.

Playing through the intro of 'The Callisto Protocol'

The Callisto Protocol is now available on Xbox Game Pass. When I first saw the trailer, this sci-fi horror game was up my alley. It gave me Aliens, Lockout(Guy Pearce space prison movie from 2012) vibes. The game casts actors we've most likely seen(or heard) somewhere before. The beginning portion introduces us to Josh Duhamel, known for his roles in the Transformers movies, Karen Fukuhara from Amazon's 'The Boys, and Sam Witwer, the voice of Darth Maul in the animated Star Wars Clone Wars series. Playing the first 25-30 minutes of the game, I was immediately drawn into the story. These two cargo pilots are on a 'final job' transporting something. It all goes awry, and one of the pilots, Jason Lee(Josh Duhamel), ends up on the prison planet of Callisto. He is incarcerated for mysterious reasons not yet revealed. He wakes up after going unconscious from being painfully processed into the system, only to find his cell open and the prison in chaos.    This is the bea...

Ghost Song Time Lapsed Artwork.

I played and enjoyed Ghost Song on Xbox Game Pass late last year.   Metroid-Vania-style games are some of my favorites; when I was younger, I remember spending hours playing Super Metroid on the Super Nintendo and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night on the PlayStation.   A recent favorite in this genre, which I completed, was Carrion. I put hours into Ghost Song, got stuck in a few parts, was at the tail end, and then it was removed from Game Pass.   I bought this title on the Nintendo Switch, but the load times are brutal.   This drawing is me reminiscing over the time I put into this game. I'll finish it someday.    Have you played Ghost Song? Want to play it? Comment below. Time lapse video

My 2023 Video Game Wrap Up-Playstation and Xbox only.

Playstation and Xbox do a Spotify-style year end wrap up of one's video game activity.   I'm fascinated by this and recorded these stats and made it into a short video.   How much time did you spend on your console or cell phone playing games this year? This was fun to put together.  I clearly spent more time playing Xbox.   But I loved Until Dawn on the Playstation. Check out the full video below.

Does Nintendo Nickel & Dime their Customers?

YouTube version After watching and enjoying the Super Mario Bros Movie( here's my review ), I was motivated to buy a Nintendo Switch. Reliving the nostalgia while watching the film, I wanted to experience the latest generation of Mario Brothers games. Come to find out, most, if not all, of Nintendo's first-party games are still selling at a premium price on the digital store (I prefer digital over cartridges).    In this video game console cycle, the Switch has sold 125+ million units compared to Playstation 5's 38+ million and Xbox Series X/S' 18+ million units.   Granted, the latter two consoles were released three years later, in 2020. Nintendo's Online service has older games(NES, SNES, Gameboy, Sega Master System, etc.) and no Switch games.   The movie has crossed 1.2 billion dollars worldwide and is the first billion-dollar film of 2023. In addition, it is the most money-making video game picture to date.   As of this writing, Super Mario Bros is no...

Now Playing-Detroit: Become Human on the Playstation 5. It's like a Movie!
