Undo It by Dean Ornish-My Biggest Takeaways + a Mixtape

LISTEN TO THE PODCAST HERE..

In this episode, I discuss my biggest takeaways from Dean Ornish's book 'Undo It.'

Most days, I practice a vegan diet.   Other elements in my diet include fasting and oil, gluten-free foods.    Why?   I find this combination keeps me slim and full of energy.   Eating is a relaxing time for me; it happens at night, six hours before bedtime.   If I did it any earlier, it would slow me down from running errands.   To keep hydrated, I consume only water throughout the day.

I was encouraged to read this book because Dr. Ornish promotes a vegan diet.   But there's more.   He and his wife Anne also advocate a longevity lifestyle by loving more, stressing less, and moving more.  One of my big takeaways(I discuss more in this episode)from the book contends eating mindfully and not watching TV.   How it can rob one of the pleasures of tasting the food and knowing when you are full.   I suffer from this.   I love watching TV and having dinner simultaneously but often eat way past my point of satiation.   Mindful eating is something I want to practice more often.

I also have a mixtape celebrating a couple of musicians I discovered on Tik Tok in 2020.   Those two being Marc Rebillet and WTF Brahh.   Besides, both of these acts using lots of humor in their music, their tunes are catchy.   I find myself singing their songs while I go about my day.   I've also watched a few of Mr. Rebillet's live streams, and his ability to improvise songs on the spot is impressive.    It motivated me to buy a Boss RC 505(a primary tool he uses in his production).   However, my dreams of producing music in that fashion came to a stop as I hardly used the device, and I ended up selling it.

WTF Brahh is two Canadian gentlemen who produce hilarious music videos based on speeches from political, religious, and news personalities.   Their use of pastor Kenneth Copeland as a hype man is ridiculous!   Their songs are the ones I sing most often.

Fantastic Four: First Steps-Out of the Theater Quick Review

Jason and I give our quick review of  Fantastic Four: First Steps.  We both gave it a  rating of 7.9/10 . We praise the movie’s stunning production design, visuals (especially Galactus and The Thing), and soundtrack. Pedro Pascal stood out as Reed Richards, and the Silver Surfer was a highlight. While the film lacked some character depth and suspense, we still considered it the best Marvel movie of the year so far — surpassing  Brave New World  and  Thunderbolts. There were  two post-credit scenes: one worthwhile, one forgettable. Here's our out of the theater review A longer podcast spoiler review is coming soon.

Weapons Movie Review-Was it better than Barbarian?

YouTube Video Weapons   by Zach Cregger was a solid horror film, especially for fans of face mutilation and suspense. While the twist didn’t fully land for me, the movie picked up after a slow start and became quite engaging. I really enjoyed the eerie electronic score during tense moments and thought the cast was strong—The characters and actors playing Gladys and Alex were standout performances. The multi-perspective storytelling around 17 missing kids added depth, and I liked how it wrapped up. Not as strong as   Barbarian , but still a very good film—I'd give it a 7.5 out of 10.
