Self Improvement has Changed My Life.

Most of my life I've been a night owl.  I'd often stay up late and watch TV.

During the 90s, infomercials, which promised riches inundated the local channels.  They played in the early hours of the morning, and I enjoyed them.  Such as Carleton Sheets 'No Money Down' real estate program.  Or Don Lapre's 'tiny classified ads' course.

Tony Robbins 'Personal Power' was my favorite.  His set of audiotapes promoted a better life, improved relationships, optimal health, and more.

Dead end temp jobs were my existence at the time.  My weekly paychecks were less than $250.  Seeing these ads gave me daydreams of a better life for my family and myself.  Financially, we are poorer than middle class.

Mr. Robbin's audiocassettes were outside of my price range.  However, his 'Awaken The Giant Within' book was on sale at Barnes and Noble.  I purchased it.

I never finished the book, but I did research his material and sought the individuals he considered experts in their respective fields.  He would quote them in his book and have them speak at his seminars.

One being John Gray, author of 'Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus.' Barbara DeAngelis, author of 'How To Make Love All the Time,' also interested me.  I didn't have a girlfriend at the time and desperately wanted one.  I read and listened to those two authors, books, and audiobooks.  My mother, sister, and future girlfriends were the recipients of the poorly applied techniques I learned.

Over the years, I would fall in and out of consuming this type of self-improvement content.   Presently, I  do so almost daily.   It feeds my soul.    It makes me feel like a better, smarter version of myself.

With a constant negative news cycle, watching TV, and playing video games loaded with sex and violence, there's no better time to surround oneself with positivity.   I prefer podcasts.   There are some which are short and others with are longer.   My recommendations for shorter content: Rob Dial's Mindset Mentor, Sean Croxton's Quote of the Day, Raul Villacis Daily Edge, Robin Sharma's The Mastery Sessions.

Longer content; Tony Robbins podcast, the Dean Graziosi show, Lewis Howes School Of Greatness, Brendon Burchard's The Brendon Show, John Lee Dumas Entrepreneur on Fire, finally the Gary Vee Audio Experience.

My favorite, in challenging my thinking from the status quo; the James Altucher Show.

Some of my choices fall into the business realm.   There are still gems of knowledge that can be found here.

Have any suggestions?   Drop them down below.    This type of information has changed my life, and I hope it does the same for you.

Fantastic Four: First Steps-Out of the Theater Quick Review

Jason and I give our quick review of  Fantastic Four: First Steps.  We both gave it a  rating of 7.9/10 . We praise the movie’s stunning production design, visuals (especially Galactus and The Thing), and soundtrack. Pedro Pascal stood out as Reed Richards, and the Silver Surfer was a highlight. While the film lacked some character depth and suspense, we still considered it the best Marvel movie of the year so far — surpassing  Brave New World  and  Thunderbolts. There were  two post-credit scenes: one worthwhile, one forgettable. Here's our out of the theater review A longer podcast spoiler review is coming soon.

Weapons Movie Review-Was it better than Barbarian?

YouTube Video Weapons   by Zach Cregger was a solid horror film, especially for fans of face mutilation and suspense. While the twist didn’t fully land for me, the movie picked up after a slow start and became quite engaging. I really enjoyed the eerie electronic score during tense moments and thought the cast was strong—The characters and actors playing Gladys and Alex were standout performances. The multi-perspective storytelling around 17 missing kids added depth, and I liked how it wrapped up. Not as strong as   Barbarian , but still a very good film—I'd give it a 7.5 out of 10.
