Remixlive is very cool!

I use the DJay Pro app for all my mixtapes. In the app, there is a feature called 'Looper Packs' where the Djay Pro software will use the sounds in these packs to line up the bpm(beats per minute) and play alongside whichever song the user plays. I got a kick out of these as it allows one to make remixes on the fly. This is where the 'Looper Packs' option is located on the DJay Pro app I've done it a few times in the past. You can listen to an example in my August 2024 Dancehall Mixtape( click here for that )at the 24-minute mark, where I do so with Jquan's 'Chakka.'  YouTuber Justin Spiegel has an excellent channel where he talks tips, tricks, and observations about the Djay Pro app. In this particular video, he mentioned Remixlive; my ears perked up. I didn't know there were apps that specialized in these looper packs.  After more research, YouTuber DJ Dre discussed using Remixlive with Novation's Launchpad X MIDI grid controller. The app is ...

Playing 'Warped Kart Racers' on Apple Arcade...Starring characters from Family Guy.

I've been playing some violent games lately.  Wolfenstein 2 and The Callisto Protocol, you can find some of those recent streams here and here .  I decided to play something lighter and chose Warped Kart Racers on Apple Arcade. The Playstation 5 Dual Sense controller connected easily to my Mac Mini, and I was literally 'off to the races.'  The Xbox controller is preferred but won't connect via Bluetooth if the AA batteries have a mid-low charge. Never having played Warped Kart Racers, I had a fun time. For the next Apple Arcade game I stream, I have to figure out how to fit the play screen to fit OBS, as the screen is oversized during this session.  Learning OBS is very much a work in progress. Here's my Warped Kart Racers gameplay. YouTube version I've been streaming more often on Twitch.  My username is Paul_v_perez, check me out. Thanks for watching!

Playing more of 'The Callisto Protocol' and talking about Captain America Brave New World. Also my thoughts on last night's WWE NXT Vengeance Day and AEW Grand Slam Australia Events.

On my latest Twitch stream ( Twitch user name is Paul_v_perez ) I play 'The Callisto Protocol' again(find out more about that game here ).   Here's a link to my first livestream of this game. I also give a small snippet of my incoming spoiler review of Captain America: Brave New World.  Finally I discuss WWE NXT's Vengeance Day and AEW Grand Slam Australia.  Two pro wrestling events which took place Saturday, February 15th. Thoughts, comments do so below. YouTube video

Captain America Brave New World Out of the Theater Thoughts (Review Coming Soon)

Jason G. and myself went to see Captain America: Brave New World this past Thursday.  Here's our out-of-the-theater thoughts, spoiler free.   Spoiler review is coming soon.

'Best Intentions' Action Figure Story starring WWE's AJ Styles, AEW's Chris Jericho, Batman's The Penguin, and Ezekiel from The Walking Dead.

I've been working on this for a long time.  But I have been lazy most of the time and not completed the work. I'm learning how to produce future action-figure stories throughout this process.  It's similar to making a movie(I think)—first the script, then the storyboard.  Shoot the figures in the sets.  Following the script and storyboard, the number of photographs is determined. Hire the voice actors on Fiverr.  Edit everything together.  I use Artlist for the sound effects and background music. Canva for some extra picture elements. Another process I used was this comic book filter above the photographs as I drew in character expressions. I didn't just want to see the same action figure face in all the shots.  Finally, Kling AI's image to video(a recent addition to the process)to animate the pictures a little. This is part 1, and I plan to get part 2 out this year.  As I said, I'd love to do more of these.  It's my way of making movi...

Playing 'Ridiculous Fishing EX' on Apple Arcade

There was a period in 2011-2013 when I was heavily mobile gaming(playing games on my phone). I spent lots of time with games: Infinity Blade, Mega Mall Stories, Hotel Dash, Diner Dash, Super Mega Worm, Battleheart, Zombie Escape, Harbor Master, and Smash Cops. Around 2014, I fell out of playing IOS games because I would listen to video game podcasters/influencers say things like mobile gaming isn't real gaming. I considered myself a serious gamer, so I stopped. I listen to/watch/follow several video game content creators. Moreso for industry news. One of those outlets I listen to is the AEW Games podcast. I started listening to this podcast last year, 2024. Their enthusiasm for gaming gets me excited to play games. Wrestlers/hosts Evil Uno and Adam Cole also discuss all the mobile gaming they do, which inspired me to dig back into IOS gaming. On Touch Arcade.com's recommendation, I remember buying and playing Ridiculous Fishing back in 2013 and loving it.   I was pleased tha...

Maxwell's 'The Difference Maker' My 2024 Gaming Year in Review Soca Mixtape February 2025 Happy February, I hope the new year is going well for you.  I've been home from work since the beginning of December.  I fractured a small bone in my left foot, so I'm recuperating. I hope to return to work and my social life this February.  This has given me more time to make content!   As listed above on this episode, this is my first food recipe on this podcast. I dehydrate veggies often to get more greens in my diet. In this segment, I dehydrated kale and tofu. Maxwell's book 'The Difference Mak...

Streaming through OBS for the first time! Playing Wolfenstein 2 on the SteamDeck**Updated**

I enjoyed playing Wolfenstein The New Order and Wolfenstein The Old Blood, so playing this is a no-brainer.  Steaming is something I want to do more of, but using an Elgato Stream Deck, and OBS software, seemed super difficult to me.   I followed YouTuber Midnight Man's instructions and viola!  I didn't get everything working right, but for a first time, it came out well.  Using a Valve SteamDeck no less.   Check out the Youtube video below. More to come! Gameplay from December 2024..the volume was very low on this one..sorry.

Spider Man Miles Morales on the Playstation 5-Gameplay from my Livestreams.

I started playing this game in 2024.  I purposely picked Spider Man Miles Morales because it looked cool and was a short game to complete(under 10 hours).  I've been slowly going through it and I think I'm almost done.  These here are a few of my livestreams of gameplay.  As I stream the game, I will update this post. 1st stream June 2024 2nd stream October 2024 3rd stream February 2024 4th stream also February 2024

My 2024 Gaming Year In Review.

YouTube version Nintendo, Xbox, Playstation, and Valve publish annual individual gamer statistics, similar to Spotify's year-end 'Wrapped' playlist. It presents which games are played and for how long—also activity by month. These are my numbers. On Xbox, I played 35 hours and 40 games, 20 of those hours mainly on the cloud(using the Logitech G-Cloud). I earned 38 achievements and increased my Gamerscore by over 700 points. My most played games were Rollerdrome, Katana Zero, and The Callisto Protocol.   Rollerdrome gave me Tony Hawk Pro Skater vibes from back in the day. I remember spending hours on that game. Except in Rollerdrome, opponents are trying to end you and you in return. My busiest month was June. Katana Zero.  All screenshots in this article I've taken during gameplay. Moving on to the Playstation, I played 33 games for 31 hours—earning 36 trophies, mostly Bronze. March was my busiest month.  My top three games were Spider-Man Miles Morales, Final Fantasy 7...

12 min Lo-Fi Beat-I put together using REMIXLIVE.

I enjoy Lo-fi beats. Playing it in the background when company visits always sets a pleasant mood. Inspired to assemble something similar to those vibes, I assembled this beat using the Remixlive app. This is the app I've been using plenty as of late. It's a quick way to put music together for the content I'm creating. I used GarageBand on the iPad for years and will continue doing so, but Remixlive has put that on the back burner for a bit.   I made the visualizers using Canva. Here's a link to Remixlive. Here's a link to Canva. This is NOT a paid endorsement or affiliate link.   Here's a 12-minute video you can chill, relax, study, and sleep too.  Post your thoughts and comments below.  Enjoy.   The Wild at Heart was the one game I completed start to finish in 2024.  It's also the first game I've ever completed while streaming live.   Click here you to find out more about the game and the story.   A charming, indie game which got its hooks in me and I wanted to see it to the end.  It was my favorite game of 2024. In this post I play a section of the title then the final act  Enjoy! A section of the game... The final act of the game. Thoughts, comments please do so below.

My Favorite Quotes! John C. Maxwell's 'The Difference Maker'

YouTube version In the past, I've done videos where I discussed 'My Biggest Takeaways' from a particular book I've read, a podcast I've listened to, or a video I've watched. That's morphed into 'My Favorite Quotes.' Starting in 2025, I have the latest in that series with John C. Maxwell's 'The Difference Maker.' John C. Maxwell has written over 100 books(I counted the books in his bibliography on Wikipedia), and several have been on the New York Times Bestseller list. The books are usually based on leadership and self-help. 'The Difference Maker' was published in 2006.   During the pandemic, I found the book in a donation bin in my town.  It was a short read, and I found it  basic . I regularly consume self-help content, so the concepts weren't anything new. But the book had great reinforcement lessons based on what I've learned  over the years .    I will present the quote and page number in the physical book and share ...

Dehydrating Kale and Tofu-FOOD VIDEO-1st video of 2025

YouTube video I discovered food dehydration when I moved into my first apartment years ago. This method of food prep was one of the many things I was excited to try with this newfound freedom of living alone. Kayaking, buying a solar panel for my window, and building a bicycle trailer were several other goals at the time. Why dehydration? It's a method of preserving food so it does not go bad in the fridge, and helps save money.  During that time I'd come to use two different dehydrators, but I wasn't crazy about them. Once, I tried making jerky in an Excalibur machine and got sick. My fault, no doubt. I gave the appliance to a friend thereafter. The second Nesco dehydrator worked fine, but I found it took up too much space and wasn't using it much, so I sold it on eBay. This happened 10-15 years ago. The interest popped up again in 2024.   This time, I bought a nicer dehydrator. Since then, it's been getting plenty of use.   I dehydrate lots of kale. I mix it with ...
